The country superstar known for his long list of No. 1 hits released a statement saying that his first single from his 10th studio album will launch on March 8th, 2016!
"I've had a lot of music over the years, but I don't think I've ever had a song before that's such a direct look into my life," Shelton said in the release. That's why I'm so excited about this particular song."
The single, "Came Here To Forget", is billed as an "intimate snapshot" of an encounter between a couple at a bar. Being the first new music from the singer to launch since his divorce from Miranda Lambert in July and first since his relationship with Gwen Stefani became public.
Notably, Shelton's girlfriend and blonde bombshell, Gwen Stefani, has also recently released new music since her divorce around the same time last year - her latest single is all about Blake Shelton.
Do you think that "Came Here To Forget" will be about Gwen? We don't know, but we'd bet his music will tell a story about the difficulties and obstacles he has worked to overcome in the last year, while also touching on the highlights of his year, too!
Shelton's last single, "Gonna" became his 21st No. 1 hit and marked a huge achievement for the country crooner when he was able to launch his very first "greatest hits" album with it as a bonus track!
Watch Shelton perform "Gonna" for the Grand Ole Opry in the video below and be sure to keep a look out for his newest single coming up on March 8th!
