There are many people out there who attempt to sing Elvis Presley's songs in his signature style, but no one has ever sounded quite like "The King." Well that is, except for one French Canadian singer by the name of David Thibault.
Thibault's grandfather got him interested in Presley's music at a young age. When he was only 16 years old, Thibault visited the radio station CKOI-FM during the Christmas season to perform one of Presley' signature Christmas tunes.
Little did Thibault know, the video from that day would eventually go viral, gathering almost five million views in only a week.
When Thibault opens his mouth and starts singing, you won't believe what you hear. He sounds so much like Presley that if you closed your eyes and simply listened to his voice, you could be fooled into thinking it was really "The King" singing.
What makes Thibault's cover of Presley's song even more remarkable is that English isn't even his first language. But he sang "Blue Christmas" flawlessly, and to think he was only 16 at the time!
You can watch Thibault's jaw-dropping performance of "Blue Christmas" in the video below.
After the video of Thibault's performance went viral, he competed on the French version of The Voice, and came in third place during his season. He's remained active as a performer since then, and we can't wait to hear what he does next!
