Blake Shelton is one of the busiest guys in the industry. Between coaching Season 10 of The Voice, recording a new album, hosting award shows, and spending time on his Oklahoma farm, it's hard to believe the star has time for anything else. But, Shelton has made sure that he'll have time for some tour dates in 2016.
In a new video from The Voice, Blake Shelton gives an exclusive look at his new tour, something that he feels is helping him make up for time he lost last year as he dealt with his very public divorce from Miranda Lambert.
"I haven't toured in over a year. Last year I didn't do much touring. I went through a lot of personal stuff and I was just ready to get back at it again," Shelton said. "It's going to be like a dam breaking when we get on stage."
The video features footage from some of Blake's winter concerts as he reflects on those moments before, during, and after his shows.
"The settling in part of touring, that hour or two before you go out on stage and then the hour or two that you're on stage, and then that hour or two afterwards, there's nothing like it," the "Sangria" singer said. "It just gets to be so exciting as you get closer to showtime. You start to see people coming into the arena, it just starts becoming this moment where you realize 'This is why I do what I do. This is why I love singing so much.'"
Last week, Blake Shelton released his first new single since his highly publicized divorce. "Came Here To Forget" sold over 53,000 singles in 3 days and climbed to the No. 1 spot on iTunes' All Genre and Country Charts. Shelton's new album, If I'm Honest, is scheduled to be released on May 20.
