After co-hosting the ACM Awards from 2011-2015, it was revealed late last year that Blake Shelton would not return as a host for the 2016 ceremony. His co-host, Luke Bryan, embarked on a search for a new co-host, and found the perfect one in his good friend, Dierks Bentley.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, this year's ACM co-hosts sat down to talk about how they've prepared for the ceremony. Bentley says that although he hasn't asked Shelton for his advice, he'll depend on Bryan for support.
"If the show goes off great I'll take the credit for being the new guy," said Bentley,"and if goes off terribly, you can blame Luke since he's the boss."
Bryan and Bentley, who compare their co-hosting duties to being "head bartenders" said they'll have a drink in Shelton's honor during the awards.
As for the location of the awards, Bryan and Bentley are excited to be back in Las Vegas after last year's show in Texas. In a hilarious exchange, Bentley said that being in Las Vegas makes the show different in many ways, especially on the red carpet.
"It's less formal," Bryan said, before making a shocking confession. "Dierks may not wear underwear."
"I'm not wearing any right now," Bentley joked. "Do you wear underwear for the show?"
"I'll be in underwear," Bryan said.
These guys are hilarious! Tune in below to watch a clip from Bryan and Bentley's promotional photo shoot for the ACM Awards.
If anything, Bryan and Bentley's recent interview proves how many laughs we'll be in store for when the ACM's air on April 3!
