The Willis Clan took the country by storm when they appeared on season 9 of America's Got Talent. The Tennessee-based family group made up of Brenda and Toby Willis and they're super-talented twelve children brought an Irish twist to the country/bluegrass genre that took them all the way to the quarterfinals.
In 2015, the family took their amazing story and talent to the small screen with their own television series on TLC, aptly titled The Willis Family. Currently in its second season, the show follows the family of 14 as they juggle life on the road and life at home.
In the most recent episode of The Willis Family, one of the Willis' daughters, Jeanette, is escorted to the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards show by Cory Platt, mandolin player and vocalist from fellow bluegrass group and America's Got Talent alum Mountain Faith. Jeanette made the trip to the show with her older brother, Jair, and sister, Jennifer. While in Raleigh, North Carolina, for the IBMA festivities, the two groups teamed up for a stunning rendition of Keith Whitley's "When You Say Nothing At All."
If you've ever attended a bluegrass festival you know that some of the best music happens off stage where impromptu jam sessions happen. Such is the case with this collaboration. While both groups are amazing on their own, what happens when they team up is worth watching!
