When CMT had to select a duet partner for Luke Bryan's upcoming episode of Crossroads, the choice was really a no-brainer. It was revealed on March 1 that Bryan would perform with R&B singer Jason Derulo, who Bryan famously collaborated with before.
Through an Apple App called Sing! Karaoke by Smule, Bryan and Derulo recorded a virtual duet of Derulo's hit song 'Want to Want Me." The video went viral, and as of March 30, has over 65 million views on Facebook.
Since Bryan and Derulo's first collaboration was so popular, fans have been anxiously awaiting the premiere of the Crossroads episode. A few lucky fans had the chance to go to Bryan and Derulo's rehearsal, and some were even able to capture part of the performance on film.
One of the fans happened to film the duo singing Derulo's hit song "Trumpets." Bryan started off singing on his own, before Derulo eventually joined in. At one point in the song, Bryan tackled some super high notes, which we're not used to hearing him sing in his own songs!
You can catch your first look at Bryan and Derulo's Crossroads performance in the video below.
As you can see the crowd couldn't contain their excitement during the whole performance, and we can't contain our excitement waiting for the whole episode to premiere on CMT!
