Traveling to a nearby town for radio interviews to promote her newest single, this young country star lost control of her car when the vehicle began to hydroplane.
"It was quite possibly one of the scariest moments of my life," said Briana Tyson. "For me to walk away with only a broken collarbone is such a blessing."
Briana Tyson was traveling with her publicist Julie Reliford on their way to Cookeville, Tennessee for interviews with local radio stations. While driving, the car began to hydroplane on a wet part of the road.
According to the press release, Interstate 40 Eastbound has a track record for causing cars to hydroplane in a specific area. Their vehicle spun around and barreled into a truck that had stopped to help another hydroplaned vehicle before striking the guardrail, totaling their vehicle.
There were only minor injuries involved in the crash with Briana suffering from some scrapes, bruises, and a broken collarbone. Her publicist, Reliford escaped with just bumps and bruises, while the driver of the truck left with a bloody forehead.
"I am so beyond grateful that everyone involved was okay," the singer says in the press statement. "I know God had his hand of protection on us today."
We are so thankful that nobody was significantly injured during this scary ordeal and we can't wait to see Briana and her publicist back in action promoting her latest single, "Throwback".
