Since the beginning of 2016, Carrie Underwood has been traveling across the country for her Storyteller Tour. The tour has generated a lot of attention, so much in fact that Underwood added more dates to her initial schedule.
One of Underwood's next tour stops was supposed to be in Houston, Texas on Tuesday night (April 19). However, as Underwood announced on Monday (April 18), she was forced to postpone the show.
According to USA Today, Houston and the surrounding area experienced severe weather and flooding recently, which has caused major problems for travelers. As of 11:30 AM on Monday, the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston had canceled 496 flights and delayed 136 others.
Keeping the safety of her fans in mind, Underwood made the decision to postpone her show in Houston. As she announced in a post to her Facebook page, the show has been rescheduled for Monday, April 25.
Some of Underwood's fans in the Lone Star state will still get the chance to see her perform this week. Underwood's concert for Monday night in San Antonio is set to go on as scheduled.
