Self-describing her music as "something that feels new, but has an old soul", Maren Morris is making 2016 her year.
She has been making music since she was 11 years old and cut her first record at 14. She self-released three albums before moving to Nashville, where she signed a publishing deal with Yellow Dog.
Morris wrote songs for Tim McGraw and Kelly Clarkson all the while touring with Marty Stuart, Radney Foster and more.
When she released her single "My Church", her career took off. The lyrics about the close connection of music and driving became a huge hit.
She signed a deal with Sony Music Nashville and released an EP last November and just announced she will be playing at the legendary music festival Bonnaroo in June.
