A rising country star known for her raspy and ragged voice paired with straight-from-the-heart songwriting recently was released from the hospital following a much-needed operation and now faces a long road to recovery.
Hot off the heels of her rising hit, "My Church", Maren Morris gave fans a little insight into her life this week with some news about an upcoming surgery to have some possibly-crippling tissue excised from her throat.
Undergoing a traditional tonsillectomy, Morris reveals that she's opting in for the procedure because she was getting sick all the time. Usually, people will have their tonsillectomy during ages 7-12, but some people don't need them out right away - however they often become a cause of concern later in life.
Posting a photo of the operation bed she was going to lie in, Morris captioned it "No filter. Tonsillectomy."
Today, the up-and-coming superstar thanked fans for their support and well-wishes adding that she's hoping for a quicker recovery than normal. She had previously stated that she learned having this procedure in your 20s or later can take longer to recover.
Send your well wishes to this bright and cheerful country star as she's going on tour with Keith Urban soon and we all can't wait to see how great that will be!
