Following a crazy crash-filled race this last Sunday (May 1st), tragedy followed as fans departed from the Talladega Superspeedway...
The Talladega County Coroner Shaddix Murphey released some minor details about the bodies found to press, but said that an investigation was ongoing and an autopsy would be performed.
Two bodies were found in a camper parked in one of the track's many campgrounds.
According to FOX Sports, WIAT.com has already identified the bodies, claiming they are 19-year-old Joshua Douin of Crawfordville, Florida and 48-year-old James Cook from Tallahassee, Florida.
In the same report, they state that foul play was not suspected in the deaths and reiterated an investigation was ongoing.
It is unknown how the two knew each other, nor how they were discovered.
We will release more details as they become available.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of these two men who were taken far too soon.
