Season 11 of The Voice will look a little different. For starters, it will feature two female coaches - at the same time!
Cyrus, who is known offstage for being free-spirited and going against the grain, has promised to be on her best behavior and if she isn't, Blake Shelton vows to drop the hammer if he needs to.
Before Monday's (May 2) live taping of The Voice, Shelton was asked about the addition of Cyrus for next season and how he will handle bumping heads with the young pop star.
"I've known her dad for years and years, so it's like, 'I'm gonna call your dad! I will tell your dad what an a**hole you're being right now, so you better settle down, missy!"
All joking aside, he truly does not feel he will have a problem with Cyrus.
"Just because she lives her life one way and I live my life one way, doesn't mean we're not friends," he says.
Of her evolution from her Hannah Montana days, Shelton says, "It's the craziest evolution ever! She's one of the biggest stars in the world...when you look at her career and the success she's had, other than just go 'Respect'."
