One of the most beloved country duos right now is Lennon & Maisy, who first found their claim to fame starring on the popular ABC series Nashville. The adorable and talented sister duo quickly won the hearts of country fans all over, and has seen several of their songs chart on Billboard.
Lennon & Maisy played the roles of Maddie and Daphne Conrad on Nashville, the daughters to lead character Rayna Jaymes. After news broke on Thursday (May 12) that the show had been canceled, Lennon & Maisy expressed their thankfulness for being able to be a part of the show, writing on Facebook "Nashville is a magic that few have the chance to feel in a lifetime."
The two sisters definitely inherit their love of music from their parents, Brad and Marylynne Stella, who formed their own country duo named The Stellas. They came in fourth place during the second season of the CMT series Can You Duet, and continue to perform together whenever they get the chance.
Brad taught Lennon how to play guitar when she was only five years old. Both Lennon & Maisy went on to learn how to play various instruments and became singers themselves. As can be expected, Brad and Marylynne are definitely Lennon & Maisy's biggest supporters.
Despite the fondness many in the country community have for Lennon & Maisy, Marylynne recently found herself defending her daughters after a series of rude comments appeared on their Facebook page.
On Sunday, (May 15), Lennon & Maisy shared a photo of Maisy standing in front of a wall with the word "cool" written on it. While many people commented on the photo confirming how "cool" Maisy is, according to some of the other comments, it appears that some people were saying negative things about Maisy's outfit. For the most part, those negative comments no longer appear in the comments section of the picture, but some people continue to reference them.
It appears this was the picture Marylynne was referring to when she wrote a personal message on the girls' Facebook page in their defense. She also politely asked fans to think twice about the impact their negative comments have on her two girls.
"Thank you to everyone who has chosen to watch these two grow in the eyes of all, showing them love, encouragement. They hear you!" she wrote. "To those who feel the need to criticize and parent from your computer.. unfortunately, they hear you too."
Marylynne's post was met with an overwhelming show of support for her and her girls. Hopefully now those who comment on Lennon & Maisy's page will remember to keep things positive and focus on the beautiful talents they have.
You can watch Lennon & Maisy perform their popular version of "Ring of Fire" in the video below. We can't wait to see what the future has in store for these two talented sisters!
