Troy Gentry & Chris Cagle Show Their Roots With Full-Throttle ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ Cover

Taking to the stage during one of the most epic duets, Montgomery Gentry and fellow country star Chris Cagle gave fans a night to remember! 

Alongside one half of the hard-rocking country duo, Troy Gentry, Chris Cagle leads the charge on a cover of Southern rock’s most iconic hit, “Sweet Home Alabama” during a 2011 concert. 

Originally written and made famous by the legendary Southern rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the 1974 super-hit has broken records again and again, reigning in as one of the most covered and featured songs ever played and called one of “the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time” by Rolling Stone. 

There’s no doubt why the country duo would bring out this sensational hit for their incredible fans in Springfield, MA!  

Cagle took the lead on the song and gave some impressive vocal work with Gentry on the other mic just slaying this fan-favorite hit! They even sang some special lyrics just for the folks at the show! 

It definitely shows that everyone in that concert house was having a blast!
