"I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry"

Williams was inspired to write "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" during his troubled relationship with his wife, Audrey.

Elvis Presley regularly called it "the saddest song [he's] ever heard" before singing it during shows and it was covered by multiple artists, including Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback, Terry Bradshaw.

Hank Jr. covered the legendary song in the early 1970s at a television appearance, accompanying himself on the guitar and harmonica.
