Neal McCoy Joins Trace On Stage For A Tribute That’ll Leave You Begging For More!

YouTube/Grand Ole Opry

Truly a gathering of country legends, this duet of an unforgettable song is a stunning example of two great artists honoring another!

Trace Adkins and Neal McCoy are performing at the Grand Ole Opry in 2013 when they surprised the audience with a two-part version of, hitmaker Charley Pride’s, “Roll On Mississippi”

It’s very apparent that when these two country legends pair up, only something fantastic can result from it! And that’s exactly what happened with this cover of a song that brought us back to the good ol’ days!

Originally recorded and released in 1981 as the title track to Pride’s album of the same name, the single became a Top 10 hit and forever a part of country music history.

The timeless track speaks of a tale surrounding the famed Mississippi River and and how the narrator feels at home with his childhood memories of it. He knows that if there ever were to be a difficult time, he can return to the banks of the river and enjoy those memories again.

This is an unmatched performance with two great musicians honoring their friend and colleague in only a way they could!

Another one of Adkins’ stunning blends of classic country in his signature style is his melding of concepts in his latest single, “Jesus and Jones”. The track travels along a journey where the narrator finds himself constantly conflicted between being more like Jesus, but reaching points where he’s turning back towards Jones. It’s one song you won’t want to miss! Watch the music video below!
