Ben Haggard Passionately Sings One Of His Father’s Most Iconic Songs

Merle Haggard’s legacy lives on.

Haggard’s older sons, Noel and Marty have been performers all their life singing his hits and their own, but it is his youngest son, Ben, who at just 23, has recently sparked the public’s interest.

For years, he stood behind his father on stage, playing lead guitar in his backing band, The Strangers. While on the road, he would post videos of himself singing on YouTube and Instagram and he gained quite a following because of it.

Ben would cover his father’s hits, as well as his other heroes, including Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, George Jones, and Keith Whitley, most of whom were great friends with the elder Haggard. 

Fans have been going crazy for his videos, not because he is Merle Haggard’s son, but because of his incredible talent and he loves singing classic country music.

Time and time again, Ben has proved that he doesn’t need the introduction of “Merle Haggard’s son”, because he is an absolutely phenomenal singer.

But just because he doesn’t need to be introduced as “Merle Haggard’s son”, doesn’t mean he will stop singing his famous father’s songs. They’re just too good!
