CMA Fest week is always full of surprises, and this year is no exception. Last night (June 7), fans of Little Big Town got a huge surprise when ‘Voice’ coach Pharrell Williams joined the group on stage at the Grand Ole Opry

Little Big Town and Williams performed “C’mon,” a song he wrote for the “Girl Crush” band’s new album, Wanderlust, out this FridayThe Grammy Award-winning rapper and producer teamed up with LBT for their latest project, something Karen Fairchild says was “the result of an incredible friendship and chemistry we have with Pharrell.”

While the group admits that Wanderlust isn’t a country album, it may surprise fans to know that Pharrell loves country music, a common ground that made the collaboration a natural fit.

“That shared passion and appreciation took us on a creative journey we had no idea would happen. The music feels like our worlds have collided in the best possible way — his infectious grooves paired with our layered vocals and harmonies,” Fairchild said.

Pharrell’s Grand Ole Opry appearance Tuesday night gave fans a tiny preview of what they can expect when the star joins Little Big Town for a performance during the CMT Music Awards live Wednesday night (June 8).
