Hunter Hayes has opened for some of country music's biggest names since his breakout album in 2011.
His biggest single from the album, "Wanted", put him on the map and made him the youngest solo male artist to hit No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs charts. It also went on to become the second-best selling song by a solo male country singer.
Many of us didn't know this until recently, but years before he broke out on the scene, he was already performing with country legends!
In this rare video, he is invited on stage by none other than Hank Williams Jr.!
"I got a very special guest I wanna bring out now," he tells the 200,000 person crowd at the Texas Motor Speedway. "This is little Hunter Hayes!"
Hayes walks out with an accordion strapped to him, and it's almost as big as he is!
"I wanna do somethin' called 'Jambalaya'," Hayes says without hesitation.
As he starts playing the accordion, the crowd goes wild, but that doesn't even compare to when he starts singing!
They are all amazed by his talents, and so are we! Hank Jr. got in on the fun and sang a verse of his late father's hit.
Little did we know that Hayes would grow up to be an extremely successful country star! This duet between Hayes and Hank Jr. is one of our favorite duets ever. Maybe they will recreate it sometime!
