Garth Brooks gets interviewed by Suzanne Alexander after presenting the Artist Of The Decade Award to George Strait and talks about the influence the King of Country has had on him and his career, as well as answering some questions on his opinion of George Strait, not only as an artist but as a person.
He says in the interview that George winning the award is long overdue, stating,
"I thought they should have given it to him in the eighties (no offence to Alabama)" and as the winner of the award for the previous decade, he only half-joking adds "I thought they should have given it to him in the nineties (no offence to whoever won it then!)"
It's just great to see how much genuine respect these country music legends have for each other. Certainly one of the many reason country music is as great as it is today!
