Loretta Lynn is best known for her groundbreaking role in country music. She has been an inspiration to men and women in country music over a span of more than 50 years. Loretta's story began on April 14, 1932 when she really did become"the coal miners daughter", which later inspired her biographical film The Coal Miners Daughter.
Loretta's success began in 1959, when she began playing at local clubs with her family band. She broke out in the country music scene later in 1967 with her first #1 song "Don't Come Home A-Drinkin". In 1971, Loretta and Conway Twitty started their professional relationship together and received five consecutive number one hits between 1971-1975. The power duo became fast friends and musical icons together!
