Tim McGraw will be heading to the Oscars soon!
The country musician is set to perform an original song contender "I'm Not Gonna Miss You", from the documentary film "Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me". The song was written by Glen Campbell and Julian Raymond and was the last song of Campbell's legendary 60 year career.
The documentary follows Campbell on his Goodbye Tour across America with the Campbell Family Band.
"I'm Not Gonna Miss You" is a sweet and sad song that gives a silver lining, in a way, for those who deal with memory loss due to Alzheimer's disease, which Glen Campbell suffers from.
Because Mr. Campbell will not be able to perform this song due to his condition, the Campbell family asked Tim McGraw to do the honors at the Oscars, since Glen Campbell is reportedly a big fan of the country music superstar.
Tim definitely has some big shoes to fill! But we're sure he'll do great!
The Oscars will be held on Feb. 22 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, and will air live on ABC at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
