The iconic George Jones has fans of all ages! At a fan club party in Nashville, the country star was joined on stage with his biggest fan, seven-year-old Jet. The duo blew away the crowd with Mel McDaniel's "Louisiana Saturday Night", and George Jones' hit song "White Lightning".
Originally recorded by The Big Bopper, George Jones released his version of "White Lightning" in 1959 off of his album, White Lightning and Other Favorites. George's rendition was an instant hit and a few months later it became his first #1 single of his career! Amazing job George, you deserve it!
We're happy to see even the youngest of fans are still in love with this great song! Jet did such an amazing job on stage capturing the audience with his great voice and confidence, that George said, "You are something else, I gotta talk to your mommy and daddy and see if they'll let you go on tour with me". The little boy's face was priceless, and we bet he would love to go with you, George!

Well in North Carolina way back in the hills me and my old pappy and he had him a still
He brewed white lightnin till the sun went down
Then he'd fill up a jug and he'd pass it around
Mighty mighty pleasin my pappy's corn squeezin (whew white lightnin)
Well the G men T men revenoers too searchin for the place where he made his brew
They were lookin tryin' to book him but my pappy kept on cookin
(Whew white lightnin)
Well I asked my old pappy why he called his brew
White lightnin stead of mountain dew
I took a little sip and right away I knew
And my eyes bugged out and my face turned blue
Light has started flashin thunder started krashin (whew white lightnin)
Well the G men T men...
Well a city slicker came and he said I'm tough
I think I want to taste that powerful stuff
He took one slug and he drank it right down I heard him moanin' as he hit the ground
Mighty mighty pleasin you'r pappy's corn squeezin (whew white lightnin)
Well the G men T men.
