What a powerful performance by Rascal Flatts! Although their songs always seem to tug at our heartstrings, this one was especially moving. As tribute to the men and women who serve to protect our country, the band performed "He Ain't The Leavin' Kind", at the Grand Ole Opry on Memorial Day weekend 2012.

Rascal Flatts captivated the crowd with their heartfelt words from the very beginning! Mid-performance, a group of U.S. Marines walked on stage and the band began performing Journey's hit song, "Don't Stop Believing". Lead singer, Gary LeVox, welcomed the troops by saying, "Ladies and gentleman, they're not the leaving kind either! Please make welcome, your United States Marine Corps". The Marines and the performance got the standing ovation they deserved. Everyone in the room felt proud to be an American, as these brave men were being honored through this beautiful song.

We love Rascal Flatts because of their faith-filled lyrics. The song tells us to believe that God will not leave us, even in our worst moments. They say, "No matter what you do / No matter where you go he's / Always right there / With you". Although they kept the message strong, the band did an amazing job incorporating our nation's heroes with these powerful words.

Once again, we were blown away by Rascal Flatts. Music is so powerful, and this performance was a great example of that.

Check out the video to see Rascal Flatt's honor our country with their performance of, "He Ain't The Leavin' Kind".

They tried their best to drag him out
Of a courthouse down in montgomery
Now they want to kick him out of school
And take him off our money
They can take those words off of paper and stone
But he aint gone, no

He ain't the leavin' kind
He'd never walk away
Even from those who don't believe
And wanna leave him behind
He ain't the leavin' kind

She stayed mad at him for a lot of years
For taking her husband
Started losing her faith and thinking that
Her life meant nothin
But when she looks at those kids
She raised all by herself
She knows she had some help
Yeah she knows

He ain't the leavin' kind
He'd never walk away
Even from those who don't believe
And wanna leave him behind
He ain't the leavin' kind

No matter what you do
No matter where you go he's
Always right there
With you

Even from those who don't believe
And wanna leave him behind
He ain't the leavin' kind
