Another amazing cover by George Strait!

"Lovesick Blues" originally appeared in the musical Oh, Ernest in 1922. After its debut on the show, Emmett Miller covered the song in 1928, and his cover inspired Hank Williams to record his own rendition of the song in 1949. Wow! This song has gone through a lot of talented artists, and all the while stayed as popular as ever! In 2003, the song ranked #61 on CMT's 100 Greatest Songs in Country Music chart.

Finally in 1991, George Strait decided to record his own version of the classic song, and it appeared on his album, Chill of an Early Fall. George's rendition of this song was nothing less than spectacular (as we could have guessed)! He is so talented, and did an amazing job bringing this song back to it's glory days!

Check out the video to hear George Strait sing, "Lovesick Blues" and you'll be glad you did!

I got a feelin' called the blues, oh Lord
Since my baby said goodbye
Lord I don't know what I'll do
All I do is sit and sigh, oh Lord

That last long day she said goodbye
Well lord I thought I would cry
She'll do me, she'll do you
She's got that kind of lovin'

Lord I love to hear her when she calls me sweet da-a-addy
Such a beautiful dream
I hate to think it's all over
I've lost my heart it seems

I've grown so used to you somehow
Well I'm nobody's sugar daddy now
And I'm lo-o-onesome
I got the lovesick blues

Well I'm in love I'm in love with a beautiful gal
That's what's the matter with me
Well I'm in love I'm in love with a beautiful gal
But she don't care about me

Lord I tried and tried, to keep her satisfied
But she just wouldn't stay
So now that she is leavin'
This is all I can say

I got a feelin' called the blues, oh Lord
Since my baby said goodbye
Lord I don't know what I'll do
All I do is sit and sigh, oh Lord

That last long day she said goodbye
Well Lord I thought I would cry
She'll do me, she'll do you
She's got that kind of lovin'

Lord I love to hear her when she calls me sweet da-a-addy
Such a beautiful dream
I hate to think it all over
I've lost my heart it seems

I've grown so used to you somehow
Lord I'm nobody's sugar daddy now
And I'm lo-o-onesome
I got the lovesick blues
