An amazingly talented 12-year-old boy with a flair for the classics paid tribute to Conway Twitty with a dazzling rendition of "Hello Darlin'." The young singer, Colin Chandler, was featured on Country Tonite which is a show featuring live music, comedy, and dance located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Colin works the crowd in his performance reminiscent of the original. After finishing his charming rendition of "Hello Darlin'," he transitions into a lively cover of Buck Owen's "I've Got a Tiger By the Tail." Colin is a featured performer at Country Tonite Theatre where he sings, acts, and plays the fiddle.
"Hello Darlin'" was the title track and lead single off Twitty's 1970 album. The song became Twitty's fourth No.1 hit and was named the No.1 song of 1970 by Billboard. The song tells the story of a man who runs into an old flame who he regards as "just as lovely" as she was back then.
