Vince Gill, Alison Krauss and Patty Loveless performed a few songs at an awards show in the nineties. Vince and Alison sang Gill's song, "High Lonesome Sound", and then Patty performed "A Thousand Times A Day", followed by all three singing "Working On A Building".
"High Lonesome Sound" won Best Country Collaboration with Vocals at the 39th Grammy Awards with it's stunning bluegrass sound. Patty's rendition of George Jones' "A Thousand Times A Day" made it onto the charts, peaking at #13. The three sang the southern gospel favorite, "Working On A Building" in honor of Bill Monroe, the father of bluegrass music.
