Marty is just one of the many talented sons of country legend Merle Haggard. The Haggard sons love to cover their father's hits, especially "Silver Wings", which Marty is doing in this live performance.

"Silver Wings" was released in 1969 off of Merle's Okie From Muskogee album. The album rocketed to the #1 spot on the Billboard Country Albums chart. The song tells the story of a woman getting on an airplane and flying away, leaving her lover lonely.

Marty doesn't just resemble his father, but his voice is eerily similar as well. Though no one can sing this song like The Hag, Marty's rendition is well done and definitely worth a listen! Y'all can also see him cover "Workin' Man Blues".

LYRICS BELOW

Silver wings shining in the sunlight
Roaring engines headed somewhere in flight
They're taking you away, leaving me lonely
Silver wings slowly fading out of sight

"Don't leave me," I cry
Don't take that airplane ride
But you locked me out of your mind
Left me standing here behind

Silver wings shining in the sunlight
Roaring engines headed somewhere in flight
They're taking you away, leaving me lonely
Silver wings slowly fading out of sight

Silver wings shining in the sunlight
Roaring engines headed somewhere in flight
They're taking you away, leaving me lonely
Silver wings slowly fading out of sight
Slowly fading out of sight
