Gregg Allman, Vince Gill, and Zac Brown performed The Allman Brothers Band's hit southern rock song, "Midnight Rider" to promote the DVD release of All My Friends - Celebrating The Songs And Voice of Gregg Allman.
"Midnight Rider" was released on The Allman Brothers Band's Idlewild South album in 1970. It wasn't released as a single, so it never charted for the band, but it did peak on the charts when it was covered by Joe Cocker, Greg Allman's re-released version, Paul Davidson, and Willie Nelson. The song tells the story of a man that is always on the run and determined to do so.
Gill, as usual, tears it up on the guitar, leaving everyone in the dust. The entire performance by the three very talented man is definitely something to see. Their musical chemistry on stage is absolutely astounding. It's a must-see!
