In a candid interview with QVC's Miceal Murphy, Dolly Parton discusses her new album Blue Smoke. She explains that the name for the album came from her childhood in the Great Smokey Mountains. Parton recounts, "smoke looks blue sometimes", and reflects fondly on her young memories.
The album contains twelve new tracks and twenty of Parton's greatest hits. She talks about how fortunate she is to still be in the music business and explains, "To be this age, be in this business, I am thankful I have been able to las this long." As usual, Parton is looking her best, sporting a sparkling gold blouse, successfully drawing in the audience.
After discussing her past and present successes, Parton talks about future plans. She says her next big dream is to finally turn her life story into a musical or movie. How exciting is that? Obviously the world will be waiting with bated breath for that release date!
