On April 15, 1989 Dolly Parton made Saturday Night Live history when she performed double duty as host and musical guest.

Featured on the episode is of course, a histerical opening monologue, but Dolly also appeared on a few sketches, including one titled 'Planet of the Enormous Hooters' and another called 'Celebrity Restaurant'.

Throughout her entertaining opening monologue, the well-endowed country singer pokes fun at her, um, assets...

"Oh, it really is great to be here in New York... I always have a good time here," Dolly begins, as the camera gets an extreme close-up of her chest. "But I have to be honest with you, though, I was a little nervous and a little worried about coming here. You know, it’s Saturday Night Live and all, and you hear all kinds of things, but... don’t you folks believe that for a minute! These folks have gone out of their way to make me feel like one of the family."

At the end of the episode Dolly is joined by her band onstage, and they perform the hit song 'Why’d You Come in Here Looking Like That', from her 29th album White Limozeen.

Be sure to watch this hilarious segment from the episode below, as well as a performance of 'Why'd You Come' from a 1989 episode of The Arsenio Hall Show.

LYRICS BELOW

Why'd you come in here lookin' like that
In your cowboy boots and your painted-on jeans
All decked out like a cowgirl's dream
Why'd you come in here looking like that

Here comes my baby
Draggin' my heart behind
He's drivin' me crazy
Who says love is blind
He's got a wanderin' eye and a travelin' mind
Big ideas and a little behind
Out with a different woman every night
But I remember when he was mine

Why'd you come in here lookin' like that
In your high heeled boots and your painted-on jeans
All decked out like a cowgirl's dream
Waltzing right in here lookin' like that
Why'd you come in here lookin' like that
When you could stop traffic in a gunney sack
Why you're almost givin' me a heart attack
When you waltz right in here lookin' like that

I just can't stand it
To see him on the town
He's out slow dancing
With every girl around
I'm a softhearted woman he's a hardheaded man
And he's gonna make me feel just as bad as he can
He's got himself a mean streak a half a mile wide
But now he's dancing on this heart of mine

Why'd you come in here lookin' like that
In your high heeled boots and your painted-on jeans
All decked out like a cowgirl's dream
Why'd you come in here lookin' like that

Why'd you come in here lookin' like that
In your high heeled boots and your painted-on jeans
All decked out like a cowgirl's dream
Why'd you come in here lookin' like that

Why'd you come in here lookin' like that
When you could stop traffic in a gunney sack
Why you're almost givin' me a heart attack
When you waltz right in here lookin' like that
Why'd you come in here lookin' like that
