During President George H. W. Bush's Presidential Inauguration Gala, Loretta Lynn, her daughter Cissy, Crystal Gayle and her sister Peggy Sue took the stage to perform a dazzling medley of classic country songs, starting with Loretta's signature song, "Coal Miner's Daughter".
We all know how successful "Coal Miner's Daughter" has been for Loretta. It's one of those timeless songs that we could hear a million times and still want to listen to it one more time. Loretta's hit song melted into Crystal Gayle's "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue", followed by "You're Lookin' At Country", sung by Peggy Sue, then Cissy, and then all four of the talented artists. With the President and First Lady in the audience smiling, they covered the beloved song "(I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden". The four performed a beautiful rendition of Tammy Wynette's "Stand By Your Man", changing the lyrics appropriately to "our men".
They continued into other songs, but we'll keep that a surprise for y'all! You don't want to miss out on this spectacular performance. Watch below!
