Bird Crashes Bluegrass Band’s Performance & Lead Singer Handles It Like A Champ

What would you do if an animal interrupted your performance? Well, musician Josh Williams had to answer this question during his 2011 performance at the Doyle Lawson Bluegrass Festival at Denton Farm Park in Denton, North Carolina.

While performing the Mark Matthewson song “Mordecai” with his band, Williams got the surprise of a lifetime.

About a minute-and-a-half into the song, a small bird flew onto the stage, and actually landed on Williams’ guitar, startling the musician.

While he was assessing the situation, and checking on the bird, he continued singing. He tilted his guitar so the entire audience could see the bird just hanging out on his guitar strap. Like a true country boy, Williams began petting the bird, which caused the audience to ooh and awe at the cute animal.

As Williams continued to sing, the bird looked up at him, and it is so cute! What made it even funnier, is that the bird decided to stay for the whole rest of the show!

This clip shows to never underestimate Mother Nature, and that life can be so random and funny at times, the only thing you can do is just roll with the punches. Williams handled this moment well, and it just goes to show how great of an artist and person he really is. This bird got the best seat in the house, and that’s what makes this video so great!
