Keith Urban, Cam and Dierks Bentley were live from the Grand Ole Opry House this morning as they announced the CMA Awards nominees on Good Morning America. There were a number of surprises this year including the fact that Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, and reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year Jason Aldean were locked out of the nominations.

Leading the pack with the most nominations are Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, and Maren Morris who are in a three-way tie with five nominations each.

Maren Morris is giving the guys a run for their money as a first-time nominee with nods in the Album of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, and single, song and New Artist of the Year categories.

Dierks Bentley, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban received four nominations each with Underwood receiving her first ever Entertainer of the Year nod.

Tim McGraw is proving that longevity in the industry is still possible as his three awards nominations come more than 20 years after winning the CMA's Horizon Award in 1994.

Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan, Cam, Old Dominion, Brothers Osborne, and Thomas Rhett each received two nominations two categories.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will take the hosting helm for the 9th time when the 50th annual CMA Awards air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena 8 p.m. EST/7 CST November 2nd on ABC.
