Melissa Dohme got the proposal of a lifetime when she threw out the first pitch at a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game. She was there to represent the organization Hands Across the Bay, where she began working to raise awareness against domestic violence.
What she didn't know, was that her boyfriend, Cameron Hill, was going to propose to her in front of the entire stadium! He got down on one knee with "Will You Marry Me?" written on the ball she was supposed to throw.
Cameron and Melissa's story is a unique and inspiring one. In 2012, Melissa was left for dead, after being stabbed 32 times by her ex-boyfriend, and when 9-1-1 was called, Cameron was one of the first responders. He stayed by her side during recovery and they eventually started dating!
