Old Dominion is taking country music by storm! Their single, "Break Up With Him" immediately caught on fire and soared to the top. Their music is getting out there and there's no doubt they're fast becoming a household name, especially since they've already performed at the famed Grand Ole Opry - not to mention they'll be touring with Kenny Chesney this summer. It can't get much better than that, right?
Formed in Nashville, they released their first EP in 2014. The band consists of lead singer Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung and Brad Tursi. They signed their record deal this year with Sony RCA Nashville. A fun fact, Matt Ramsey actually cowrote The Band Perry's "Chainsaw". He was also part of the collaboration (along with Trevor) for Craig Morgan's hit song, "Wake Up Lovin' You". You can check out Old Dominion's rendition of that song below.
Members have also penned a few other hit songs like The Band Perry's "Better Dig Two" and Tyler Farr's "A Guy Walks Into A Bar", which you can also watch a fantastic cover of that song below. They've opened up for Alabama, Jake Owen, and Chase Rice.
You can listen to their first single, "Break Up With Him", which was #1 for six weeks on SiriusXM's The Highway. Big name media outlets like Rolling Stone Country and Country Weekly called them the "the band to watch", which we definitely have to agree with!
Old Dominion is a mix of contemporary country with rock. Their modern country style is definitely worth a listen and there's no doubt they'll continue rising to the top. As stated above, they are touring with Kenny Chesney on his Big Revival Tour, which means they'll be opening up for sold out shows, so y'all better get tickets while you can because you don't want to miss out on one great performance by OD!
