Country fans across the nation know the name Conway Twitty, while the name Glen Templeton is quickly becoming a household name. With an old, southern style, Glen has shaken up the country music scene with his voice and sound.

A Southern boy at heart, Glen is as much of a Conway fan as we are, yet unlike the normal fan, he has the vocals to back him. Bringing new life to one of Conway's best known songs, he pays tribute to a country titan, while further establishing himself as a serious player in the game of the country music world, but he gained his original footing in a very unique way.

After working odd jobs up to 2008, he moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music and auditioned for a part in a country show that would be starting later that year. The show was the Conway Twitty Musical, and Glen was hand picked by Conway Twitty's daughters for the part of Conway himself.

“With more than 20,000 hopefuls auditioning for the part, Joni Twitty finally found a powerful voice capable of conveying many of the same qualities Conway had.” -GT

This opportunity sky rocketed his career, with performances the following year at the Grand Ole Opry and appearing on CMT in 2009. Then the year after that, he performed at the ACM's All-Star Jam and Cheyenne Frontier Days. While performing at all these events, he was also performing across the South at bars and music halls alike, sharing his unique sound with enthusiastic fans and enjoying meeting them along the way.

Below is the performance of him from 2009 at the Loading Zone in Nashville. He was still touring with the Conway Twitty Muscal show at that point and he sounds amazing!

LYRICS BELOW

It's your life
You say you need a change
Don't all the dreams we've seen come true
Mean anything

You say, "It's different now"
And you keep starin' at the door
How can you walk away?
Don't I matter anymore

If being free is worth what you leave behind
And if it's too late for love to change your mind
Then it's goodbye time

If we had known
Our love would come to this
We could have saved our hearts the hurt
Of wasted years

"Well it's been fun"
What else can I say
If the feeling's gone
Words won't stop you anyway

If being free is worth what you leave behind
And if it's too late for love to change your mind
Then it's goodbye time
