Brantley Gilbert spent one morning visiting hospital patients at the VA Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee with the help of "Musician's On Call.". He took time off his tour to play and share his music to some of the men and women who have served our country.
The singer, who had a grandfather who served in the military, said his visit to the hospital, "was an honor." He played some of his hits along with covers of other country music songs.
Brantley said, “I have never experienced anything quite like playing for these veterans. These men and women have sacrificed their lives for our freedom ... my freedom to be able to play my music. I have so much respect for them. It was an honor to be able to spend time with them."
"Musician's On Call" is an organization that brings music to the people that need it most--hospital patients. Artists like Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Florida Georgia Line, and Darius Rucker have volunteered their time to this amazing cause. All he wants to do is help the patient's day be a little brighter, and you can tell the experience might have helped him more than it helped the patients. He says the visit, "changed [his] life."
