To say Carrie Underwood is back with a bang at the CMT Music Awards would be an understatement. She is back with what could only be descirbed as an explosion of talent and praise.
Winning three awards as a total for the night, making her the most honored artist in CMT Music Awards history with 13 career wins, she walked away with a huge accomplishment for her first awards show since she had baby Isaiah three months ago. She won Video of the Year for "Something in the Water", Female Video of the Year for "Something in the Water", and Collaborative Video of the Year with Miranda Lambert for "Somethin' Bad".
"This is my first awards show since little Isaiah has been in the world. I'm sure he's napping on the bus right now, but I should definitely say that he has already inspired me so much."
Not only did Carrie walk away with three awards, but she also rocked the house with her spine-tingling performance of "Little Toy Guns". It was a nice break from the extravagant performances that had been occuring during the show, and concentrated on the music and talent, not the lights and pretty dancers. Carrie shined during her performance and once again showed the world what a wonderful performer she is in her own right.
