15-Year-Old LeAnn Rimes Shines Bright With Hank's 'I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry'

Leann rimes Songs | 15-Year-Old LeAnn Rimes Shines Bright With Hank's 'I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry' | Country Music Videos

It's hard to believe a 15-year-old could sing Hank William's classic song so beautifully, but we all know just how talented LeAnn Rimes is - even at such a young age - so it comes as no surprise that she knocked "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" out of the park. She has actually covered Hank before. You can see her remarkable performance of "Your Cheatin' Heart" here.

"I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" was both written and recorded by Hank Williams and released in 1949. It has been covered numerous times. LeAnn puts her own twist on the song, elongating the words a bit, but it was still beautifully done.

Hank would no doubt feel honored with such a beautiful tribute. LeAnn really proved her rare talent with this one, as she has done thousands of times over.

Hear that lonesome whippoorwill,
He sounds too blue to fly.
The midnight train is whining low,
I'm so lonesome I could cry.

I've never seen a night so long
When time goes crawling by.
The moon just went behind the clouds
To hide its face and cry.

Did you ever see a robin weep,
When leaves begin to die
That means he's lost the will to live,
I'm so lonesome I could cry.

The silence of a falling star
Lights up a purple sky.
And as I wonder where you are
I'm so lonesome I could cry.
