At just seven-years-old, we knew that Ricky Skaggs was destined to be a superstar!
In this rare 1961 footage, we are lucky enough to see Ricky before was the country and bluegrass legend he is today! This vintage black and white footage is sure to blow you away, as little Ricky plays the mandolin just as good as the musicians that surround him on stage.
The Kentucky native began playing that mandolin when he was just five-years-old. By six, he was playing with the legendary Bill Monroe, and by seven he was playing with Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs. Wow!
The real question is, can you even believe how talented he was at just seven-years-old?! This performance definitely left us speechless, and we're sure y'all will love it too!
