Pre-divorce talk, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton seemed to work together wonderfully as a team.

In this amazing tribute to Blake Shelton's brother that passed away, Blake and Miranda came together to do something beautiful!

The song "Over You" was written by both Miranda and Blake, but Miranda performed the song. Blake realized it would have been too hard for him to perform the song over and over again, so Miranda stepped in.

When Blake was 14-years-old, his 24-year-old brother, Richie Shelton, was involved in a fatal car accident, and passed away.

Blake opened up to Miranda about the tragic situation, and she explained:
"Writing a song with Blake is always special, because we don't do it that much. He was sharing with me the story about when his brother passed away and talking about memories of Richie. We started writing this song, and it was really a great moment for us, sort of like we moved to a deeper level."
Blake Shelton's dad said about Richie's death, "You never really get over something like that, you just get used to it."

In the video, Miranda explains that the most emotional part for her was writing the song itself.

Miranda confessed, "We both actually cried writing the song, and that's the only time I've ever gotten that emotional writing a song, and him too. I think the initial emotion came out right in that day, and you can hear it in the lyrics."

Blake Shelton had this to say about his brother at the 2012 CMA Awards:
"I lost my brother in a car wreck when I was 14-years-old. Later in life, when I decided I wanted to be a country singer, my dad always told me, 'Son, you should write a song about your brother.' I lost my dad back in January, and it's so amazing to me that tonight, even after he's gone, he's still right."
Even though the divorce is imminent, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert made a good team, and an amazing tribute song came of it!

LYRICS BELOW

Weather man said it’s gonna snow
By now I should be used to the cold
Mid-February shouldn’t be so scary
It was only December
I still remember the presents, the tree, you and me

But you went away
How dare you?
I miss you
They say I’ll be OK
But I’m not going to ever get over you

Living alone here in this place
I think of you, and I’m not afraid
Your favorite records make me feel better
Cause you sing along
With every song
I know you didn’t mean to give them to me

But you went away
How dare you?
I miss you
They say I’ll be OK
But I’m not going to ever get over you

It really sinks in, you know, when I see it in stone

Cause you went away,
How dare you?
I miss you
They say I’ll be OK
But I’m not going to ever get over you
