This transcending ode of rock, "Break On Through" was featured on the first album for the band, famously known as The Doors.

This song became the iconic anthem that brought the Doors their fame and recognition as one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

The video starts out with the sole intense face of Jim Morrison standing alone with a mic and his thoughts.

As he starts projecting his seductive ballad with angst and pain seeping through his pores, he delivers an intimate interpretation of ascending and transforming into another dimension.

Jim was well known to experiment with stimulants and isolate himself from the world, his raw emotions began to translate through the band's lyrics:

"I found an island in your arms, country in your eyes, arms that chain, eyes that lie."

Watching this makes us feel as though we were in the 1967 crowd enjoying this captivating performance.

Check out this rare and personal footage of the Doors performing this infamous hit.

LYRICS BELOW

You know the day destroys the night
Night divides the day
Tried to run
Tried to hide
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side, yeah

We chased our pleasures here
Dug our treasures there
But can you still recall
The time we cried
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side

Yeah!
C'mon, yeah

Everybody loves my baby
Everybody loves my baby
She get(s high)
She get(s high)
She get(s high)
She get(s high)

I found an island in your arms
Country in your eyes
Arms that chain
Eyes that lie
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through, oww!
Oh, yeah!

Made the scene
Week to week
Day to day
Hour to hour
The gate is straight
Deep and wide
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through
Break on through
Break on through
Break on through
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
