Luke Bryan And Florida Georgia Line Give Energetic Performance of A Tim McGraw Classic!

CBS

Luke Bryan is traveling all over performing in just about every major city for his Kick The Dust Up Tour.  Florida Georgia Line has been opening for him and they have joined forces a few times for some lucky audiences.

Recently, in Cincinnati, they all sang Tim McGraw’s classic hit “Where The Green Grass Grows” and it was amazing!

The fans were going wild for the song, partly because it is such a well known song, and partly because of who was performing it!

Where The Green Grass Grows” was originally released by country mega-star Tim McGraw in 1998 off his album Everywhere. The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts and is about a man’s desire to leave the big city and move back to the country, where he most likely grew up.

At the end of the performance, which was a day after Luke’s 39th birthday, Tyler Hubb of Florida Georgia Line, announced he hasn’t gotten the chance to sing to Luke yet! He goes on to lead the entire crowd in singing ‘Happy Birthday” to Luke!

Luke says to Tyler, “For my birthday present, we gotta do this one time,” and then sings the chorus to “This Is How We Roll” If it’s possible at all, the crowd got even louder! Can you tell they like this song?! We do too!

Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line put their own twist to the Tim McGraw classic and although no one can compare to Tim, it’s still pretty good! They definitely put on a great show, so watch it below for yourself!

Lyrics

Six lanes
Taillights
Red ants marchin’ into the night
They disappear to the left and right again
Another supper from a sack
A ninety-nine cent heart attack
I got a poundin’ head and an achin’ back
And the camel’s buried in a big straw stack

I’m gonna live where the green grass grows
Watchin’ my corn pop up in rows
Every night be tucked in close to you
Raise our kids where the good Lord’s blessed
Point our rocking chairs towards the west
Plant our dreams where the peaceful river flows
Where the green grass grows

Well I’m from a map dot
A stop sign on a black top
I caught the first bus I could hop from there
But all this glitter is gettin’ dark
There’s concrete growin’ in the city park
I don’t know who my neighbors are
And there’s bars on the corners and bars on my heart

I’m gonna live where the green grass grows
Watchin’ my corn pop up in rows
Every night be tucked in close to you
Raise our kids where the good Lord’s blessed
Point our rocking chairs towards the west
Plant our dreams where the peaceful river flows
Where the green grass grows

I’m gonna live where the green grass grows
Watchin’ my corn pop up in rows
Every night be tucked in close to you
Raise our kids where the good Lord’s blessed
Point our rocking chairs towards the west
Plant our dreams where the peaceful river flows
Where the green grass grows
