When Duck Dynasty star, Sadie Robertson turned to social media July 29, 2015 she had a special request from her followers.

Robertson explained the heartbreaking story of Katie Joyce in her Instagram post- a hopeful little girl who has a brain tumor on her brain stem, which is inoperable according to doctors. The picture shows Katie Joyce in her hospital bed, smiling next to her stuffed animals.

As reported by Western Journalism

"Katie, from Monroe City, Louisiana, was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2010, when she was only two years old. Doctors at St. Jude’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., operated on her at the time, removing the tumor. She was monitored thereafter with the hope that she would not face a recurrence of the disease. Now, the young girl faces this new challenge."

Sadie's Instagram read: 'this is Katie Joyce - Her family found out she has a brain tumor and its on her brain stem which inoperable. the doctors say we need a miracle. The only thing that can fix this is if we storm the gates of heaven. Write comments of encouragement & if you know someone who needs prayer feel free to write it in a comment & I will pray for all of you as well.'

We send our prayers to Katie Joyce and her family.
