Being a Texan come with lots of responsibility. One of those responsibilities is to correct people when they are wrong. In this case, when they are wrong at pronouncing "a little town with a funny looking name."

In this hilarious video, we are told that, "Most any visit to New Braunfels is likely and sure to include...our neighboring village, Gruene, home to Gruene Hall, the oldest continuously operating dance hall in Texas."

The host of this educational video says,

"The entire town has been recognized on the National Register of Historic Places, but people still get tripped up on the name, Gruene"

He goes on to interview tourists how to say "Gruene" (pronounced green), and their answers are comical

There are answers like "Grew-EE-nee", "GREW-in", and "Green-ie"!

Good thing there are people like the host to help educate on the pronunciation of Gruene!!
