9-year-old Timmy Lynch definitely made some memories to last him a lifetime. It's rare to see someone his age harbor love for classic country music, but he does, and thank goodness for that. Because of it, he was able to meet outlaw country legend, Hank Williams, Jr.
It all started when he performed Hank Williams' "There's A Tear In My Beer", during karaoke night at The Burger Bar. Timmy's mom, Andrea, recorded his performance and then sent it to Hank Jr. per Timmy's request.
Dave Bakke of The State Journal-Register spoke with Andrea about the experience. In the interview, she stated just how surprised she was to actually get a response.
Something actually very similar happened years ago. A young Hunter Hayes caught the attention of Hank Jr. and was able to perform on stage with the musician. He reminisces about that time and the similarities to Timmy Lynch with Dave Bakke:
"He came on that bus with his accordion strapped on his back and wanted to play me 'Jambalaya.' He did and I invited him on stage that night in front of a live TV audience and people still come up to me today and remember that. Maybe this little boy will have that same spark."
How cool is that?
Luckily for Timmy, he was able to meet the legendary singer. What a fantastic moment that must have been! Plus, check out the shirt Timmy's sporting.
