At a tribute concert to Johnny Cash in 1999, Willie Nelson and June Carter Cash were given the chance to perform in honor of the great country artist. The concert included other greats, such as, Johnny and June's son John Carter CashGeorge Jones, and Kris Kristofferson

Introduced by John, Willie performed "I Still Miss Somone", Johnny's hit from the album The Fabulous Johnny Cash. The song was recorded in 1958 and was one of his many hits. Willie's performance is personal, as he calls out to his friend, saying, "get that bus warmed up because the Highwaymen are ready to do it again, if you are."

Next to perform is June, Johnny's wife of thirty-five years, who took to the stage to perform "Ring of Fire", an iconic song that she co-wrote and Johnny made famous in 1963. June's introduction to the song is sweet, bringing a smile to your face and a slight tear to your eye as you realize the love shared between these two special people.

"I'm so used to hearing Johnny Cash sing Ring of Fire that I never get to sing it. This song had to do, about when I first fell in love with Johnny Cash. It was kind of a scary thing because it was in the early years...Just let me sing this with true love in my heart, for the man I love tonight."

June's performance is amazing, but her introduction gives the song a new meaning as you hear her sing of "falling into a burning ring of fire", realizing the love she had for the man she was honoring on that night.

Check out the video and be ready to fall in love with Johnny's music all over again.

LYRICS BELOW

I Still Miss Someone

At my door the leaves are falling
A cold wild wind has come
Sweethearts walk by together
And I still miss someone

I go out on a party
And look for a little fun
But I find a darkened corner
because I still miss someone

Oh, no I never got over those blues eyes
I see them every where
I miss those arms that held me
When all the love was there

I wonder if she's sorry
For leavin' what we'd begun
There's someone for me somewhere
And I still miss someone

Ring of Fire

Love is a burning thing
And it makes a fiery ring.
Bound by wild desire
I fell into a ring of fire.

I fell into a burning ring of fire,
I went down, down, down as the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns,
The ring of fire, the ring of fire.

The taste of love is sweet
When hearts like ours meet.
I fell for you like a child,
Oh, but the fire went wild.

I fell into a burning ring of fire,
I went down, down, down as the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns,
The ring of fire, the ring of fire.

I fell into a burning ring of fire,
I went down, down, down as the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns,
The ring of fire, the ring of fire.

And it burns, burns, burns,
The ring of fire, the ring of fire,
The ring of fire, the ring of fire.
