For country music legend Tim McGraw, family has always come first. He has built an amazing career, and even better family with wife, Faith Hill. Together they have raised their daughters, and now the time has come for the eldest of the McGraw girls to head off to college.
McGraw and Hill have three daughters together: Gracie, 18, Maggie, 17, and Audrey, 13. Having teenage daughters is no easy feat, especially for dad! In an interview with Extra, McGraw told a funny story about what he did to one of his daughter's dates on their first night out together.
“I happened to be cutting some meat up because I was cooking on the grill and I had a white apron on, so I had little chunks of meat on this white apron,” he explained. “I had a butcher knife when I answered the door and it wasn’t on purpose, but it worked out well.”
McGraw co-wrote and recorded "My Little Girl" in 2006, no doubt inspired by his own daughters. This particular performance was recorded backstage, behind the scenes of McGraw's 2015 Shotgun Rider tour. He had recently dropped Gracie off at her first year of college, and was feeling sentimental about this tremendous milestone.
Watch this sweet rendition of "My Little Girl", dedicated to his oldest daughter. Good luck in college, Gracie!
