Steven Tyler always knows how to surprise us. First, he made the transition from rock 'n roll to country, and now he is following through on his crossover. On the Good Morning America sound stage, Tyler performed "Love Is Your Name" for an excited crowd!
What was he doing there? Tyler and rising country star, Kelsea Ballerini announced the 49th Annual CMA Award nominations, but he was surprised to be there.
“When I was asked to announce the nominees for the ever-so-prestigious CMA Awards this year, I actually whispered, ‘They really want me?’,” Tyler said in a recent press release. “I’m just humbled by the open arms of the Country community and am honored to take part in this BIG moment.”
"Love Is Your Name" is the Aerosmith frontman's debut country single from his soon to be released solo album. Although fans were surprised by the jump in genres, it looks like Tyler is here to stay.
